Empty aerosols (deodorant, air freshener, hairspray, cooking spray) are metal and go in most mixed recycling bins.
How to prepare it
Make sure it is completely empty. Do not pierce or crush it. Take the plastic cap off and put it in recycling or general waste.
Common mistakes
Part-full aerosols, and paint or chemical aerosols, should go to the tip.
Does every council do this?
